And some people enjoy running around town furnishing their Mexican homes once they get to Mexico.
But here's the kind of feedback I get from people like you every day: "I spent my two weeks running around town trying to buy furniture -- and still didn't find a place I liked."

Here's a test that shows how hard it can be for a non-Mexican buyer to get a good deal: My business partner (& husband :-)) Ken goes into the store (all 6-2" of him), clearly American, speaking English. He asks about the price of several pieces. Then I come into the same store. I am fluent, native Spanish-speaking. I ask about the price of those same pieces in native Spanish.
The typical range difference between the two quotes is 25% - 75%. If you ever wondered why stores serving Americans and Canadians often use price tags that only have barcodes on them (no prices!), now you know.
Because the price depends.
