Mexico Living

I just came across this article today thanks to our friends at Yucatan Living. I laughed when I read it, and wanted to share it with all of you. The things the article mentions really do remind me of Mexico and of the funny and not so funny experiences I have had there. Thank you to the folks at Matador for publishing it, and to Susannah Rigg for writing it. Here are a dozen habits that this person lost when he moved to Mexico. Enjoy! (end post).

Your bedroom as nourishing oasis Going into your bedroom should call forth from you at the very least a sigh of relief (if not delight). You should see, feel, and ...

Yes, the kitchen is the heart of your Mexican home. Do you remember the beautiful onion slicing scene in the movie “Like Water for Chocolate?” I do. It seems to me that any memories that involve food and kitchens are always more vivid. It makes perfect sense: they are accompanied by flavor, color, textures, aromas all of which makes them more evocative and powerful. Building a great Mexican kitchen When considering your furniture choices in Mexico, do pay close and special attention to your kitchen. Not only is it the heart of your Mexican...

First snow storm of 2012! Beautiful -- a little impractical for doing business and getting around, but beautiful. That’s what I told my friend on the phone this morning.
