December 2007: Gringo Furniture send shoes to Africa
During a recent trip to Africa, we learned of the need for shoes and clothing in Kenya. We put out the word to all our friends and family and came up with 6 large boxes full of shoes, clothing and educational books to send to the people and children of Kenya. Gringo Furniture paid the $500 for the shipping to Kenya and we look forward to making a small difference in people's life across the ocean.

AUGUST 29th 2007: The New York Times takes notice of Gringo Furniture
We have big news at Gringo Furniture today! We are part of a feature article in the New York Times by Amy Gunderson. Click HERE to read article
It is a great reference article as it gives the different sources for people furnishing their homes from a-far. It is clear to us at Gringo Furniture that we are the best choice as we take into consideration the cost and use of furniture for investment homes in Mexico. We are the only company that does not import furniture into Mexico. We are proud to be contributing back into the economy of Mexico and creating jobs for the Mexican people. Each and every piece of our furniture is hand made by an artisan in Mexico City. Our Head Office in Mexico City is a family run business that has been making furniture for over 30 years.
Why spend 10's of thousands on imported furnishings? Insurance costs are going up and will continue to increase as more hurricane's hit coastal areas. The cost to insure furnishings that cost in the 10's of thousands is already expensive and will only increase in the years to come. At Gringo Furniture, a 2 bedroom villa can be furnished from top to bottom for less than $10,000
To date, we have furnished 65+ homes across Mexico from the Baja to the Mayan Riviera. All this in less than 1 year of being on-line and in business. We continue to expand our store by adding new styles of furniture, appliances, electronics and, new this week, Hunter Douglas Blinds. Just last month we purchased a brand new truck to assist in the overflow of deliveries and provide a set-up service available across Mexico.
We seek to improve our services and our quality of goods everyday. We stand behind everything we do and will bend over backwards to ensure we have happy customers. Customer Service is the backbone of our company. If you are a past customer I want to say Thank-you. If it was not for your confidence we would not have succeeded or grown as fast as we have. If you are looking to become a customer of Gringo Furniture, rest assured, we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
AUGUST 1 2007: NEW DELIVERY TRUCK FOR GRINGO FURNITURE
This is a very exciting summer for Gringo Furniture, our first summer in business. Our sales across Mexico have allowed us to purchased a 2nd delivery truck. This means that we will no longer have to rely on Cargo Companies to deliver our furniture. When Gringo Furniture arrives at your door it will be a Gringo Furniture employees who service you. We will be able to keep a tighter control on delivery times and take better care of the delivery process. We will also now be able to offer a "set-up" service to all our customers across Mexico. For a small additional cost our delivery people will un-wrap all the furniture and place it according to floor plans provided by customers. They will then remove all the debris and your villa will be all set for your arrival.
Gringo Furniture continues to grow everyday and improve on our quality, services and options. We truly feel as though this is only the beginning. Stay tuned for photos of our truck once we have our logos painted on.
